Having worked in large and small law firms as a receptionist, legal secretary, bookkeeper, law office administrator, accountant and consultant, I experienced first-hand that every role is critical to a firm’s success. I also learned that fine-tuning the procedures in each role, in a coordinated fashion, builds a great law firm.
In my first law firm job, I worked for a remarkable corporate lawyer in a large downtown Vancouver firm. I was inspired by this lawyer’s dedication to his practice, and his connection and commitment to serving his clients.
Thanks to his mentorship, and introduction to the world of economics and finance, I enrolled at UBC and studied accounting, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. I later supplemented my education with a CPA designation, and consultant certifications in PCLaw and Soluno legal software.”
